BIRD WATCHING & STARGAZING — The grounds of the Double T are a birdwatcher's paradise and the black skies are an astronomer's delight.
THE CATWALK — Hike along a trail over suspended bridges through the White Water Canyon (4 miles away).
CATRON COUNTY VISITORS CENTER — In Pleasanton (5 miles south).
GILA CLIFF DWELLINGS NATIONAL MONUMENT — Explore the 13th century cliff dwelling ruins of the Mogollon Indians (approx. 2-hr drive).
GILA NATIONAL WILDERNESS — Explore the many trails (on foot, bike, or horseback) in the Gila National Forest that surrounds Glenwood.
GLENWOOD FISH HATCHERY — Take a picnic and bring along your fishing poles (about 1/2 mile away).
HUNTING — This area is a hunter's haven in New Mexico. Bring your horses and attempt big game.
LAKE ROBERTS, SNOW LAKE, WILLOW CREEK — Enjoy fishing in the mountain streams and lakes that are all stocked with trout (all within a 2-hr drive).
MINERAL CREEK & COONEY'S TOMB — Visit an historic burial place along a beautiful canyon.
MOGOLLON — Explore the old gold and silver mining ghost town of Mogollon (approx 12 miles away). Purple Onion Cafe, Payload Antique Shop, Museum, Rock Shop, and Refined Gold Art Gallery.
RUNNING HORSE GALLERY — In Pleasanton (5 miles south).
SUNDIAL SPRINGS — Soak in pools developed from natural hot springs.
TRAILS — From the front door, use the many hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding trails.
WILDLIFE — Observe the variety of wildlife in the area, including elk, deer, turkeys, cougars, bears, and javelinas.
